第十三天︰甚麼敬拜討神喜悅

(Worship That Pleases God)

你要盡心、盡性、盡意、盡力愛主你的神。(可12:30)

(Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.)(NIV)

神所要的是你的「全人」。祂所看重的是你的「敬拜動機」和敬拜時向神獻上「多少自己」。經上說︰就當感恩，照神所喜悅的，用虔誠、敬畏的心事奉神。(來12:28)(Let us be grateful and worship God in a way that will please him.)(TEV)

討神喜悅的敬拜有四個特點︰(The kind of worship that pleases God has four characteristics.)

1.神喜悅我們「正確」的敬拜(盡心)︰ (God is pleased when our worship is accurate.)敬拜必須基於「聖經真理」(the truth of Scripture)，而不是基於我們個人「對神見解」(opinions about God)。耶穌說︰那真正拜父的，要用心靈和誠實拜他，因為父要這樣的人拜他。(約4:23)(True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.)(NIV)

2.神喜悅我們「真誠」的敬拜(盡性)︰(God is pleased when our worship is authentic.)敬拜就是你的靈對神的靈的回應，而且是真實衷心 (genuine and heartfelt)的回應。經上說︰耶和華不像人看人：人是看外貌；耶和華是看內心。(撒上16:7b)我們的敬拜可以不完美 (imperfectly)，但不可以不真誠 (insincerely)。我們的敬拜必須兼具心靈 (spirit)和真理(truth)。我們的敬拜也必須是正確(accurate)和真誠(authentic)。神所喜悅的敬拜是既有情感，又合乎教義，必須心(heart)和腦(head)並用。聖經提到許多不同的頌讚形式︰例如歌唱(詩 7:17 )、呼喊(拉3:11)、跳舞(詩149:3)、樂器(詩150:3)、舉手(尼8:6) 等等。其實只要用神給你的背景與個性，真實表達出你對神的愛，這就是最好的敬拜風格(the style of worship)。

3.神喜悅我們「意識」的敬拜(盡意)︰(God is pleased when our worship is thoughtful.)神不喜歡「無意識的歌唱讚美」、「有口無心的草率禱告」，或「無的放矢地喊叫︰讚美主」。「無意識」(mindless)的敬拜就是「無意義」(meaningless)的敬拜。嘗試使用「新穎」用詞取代「陳腔濫調」，使用「明確」用詞取代「含糊籠統」，並專注於神不同的名字。 「團體」敬拜時，也當用意識來敬拜。保羅說︰凡事都要規規矩矩的按著次序行。(林前14:40)。神堅持要我們在聚會時，讓在場的非信徒也能理解我們的敬拜。

4.神喜悅我們「實際」的敬拜(盡力)︰(God is pleased when our worship is practical.)經上說︰將身體獻上，當作活祭，是聖潔的，是神所喜悅的；你們如此事奉乃是理所當然的。(羅12:1)(Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship.)(NIV) 神要我們將「身體」獻上，因為你在世上若沒有「身體」就甚麼都做不成了。只要你在世的一天，你的心靈就跟你的身體同在。(As long as you’re on earth, your spirit can only be where your body is.)神也要我們成為「活祭」(a living sacrifice)，因為神要你「為祂而活」(live for him)。在這世上，遵行祂的旨意，彰顯基督的榮美。真正的敬拜是付上「代價」的。(Real worship costs.)，大衛說︰我不肯用白得之物作燔祭獻給神。(撒下24:24)我們所要付出的代價，就是「放棄」自我的念頭。敬拜需要下功夫，費精神。(Worship takes effort and energy.)敬拜不總是「方便」(convenient)或「舒適」(comfortable)。有時敬拜甚至是「全然意志的行為」(a sheer act of the will)，是一種「心甘情願的犧牲」(a willing sacrifice)。

結語︰敬拜的中心全在於一顆心。(The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart.)
